About theRole:

My client a leading globalconsultancy is currently seeking a skilled Cloud Security SME tojoin their delivery team and support clients in advancing theirsecurity transformation journeys. This role requires SC clearancedue to project involvement with the public sector.

RoleResponsibilities:

As a CloudApplication Security SME you will:

  • Work within agreed timelines across evaluation design andbuild phases to identify security requirements define applicationsecurity solutions and configure and test security tools withinDevSecOps environments.

  • Leverage your knowledge of industry standards and bestpractices to guide security reviews and validation processes forclients and support enablement and definition of applicationsecurity outcomes.

  • Identify client needs related to application securitytechnology tool and process adoption; technical securityrequirements; and security gaps issues and assumptions in clientapplications while ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and riskmitigation.

  • Define keysecurity objectives by crafting project testing strategies plansscenarios and approaches; establishing security targets riskmanagement processes and metrics; and creating crossteamimplementation plans to meet client goals.

  • Implement and manage application security bysetting up securityspecific components across development test andproduction; integrating application security and DevSecOpstechnologies; and establishing robust security practices for clientsystems.

  • Oversee evaluateand support discovery and audits documentation validationassessment and authorization; while working closely with GRCconsultants and solution architects in securing products andservices.

What You Bring:

The ideal candidate is passionate about solving clientchallenges through a securityfocused approach and excels in aclient advisory role.

  • Cloud Security Expertise: Experience indesigning and implementing security within public cloud platforms(e.g. Azure GCP AWS).

  • Programming Skills: Proficient in languages such as JavaPython TypeScript Go or Rust.

  • API Security: Strong understanding of API protocols likeREST SOAP gRPC and WebSockets and experience in securingthem.

  • DevSecOpsKnowledge: Familiarity with DevSecOps frameworks methodologies andapplication security testing particularly SAST.

  • Toolset Experience: Skilled inintegrating and operating security tools such as Synopsys VeracodeCheckmarx Cequence Akamai Salt GitLab MicroFocus Fortify WebInspectSonarQube Qualys and TripWire.

  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with RDBMS such as MySQLPostgreSQL MariaDB SQL Server and Oracle.

  • Security Principles: Knowledgeable in Secure byDesign and Zero Trust principles.
