What will you be doing:

You’ll be responsible for the intercompany accounting for all Shared Service Centre (SSC) reported entities. As we continue to strengthen our financial reporting offering in the SSC, timely delivery of financial and supplementary information to the markets we support is key to our success. Likewise this role will ensure compliance with Cooper Companies’ accounting policies, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and the established internal control framework.

This role will be the main point of contact for financial reporting, internal controls and audit (both internal and external) pertaining to intercompany and will partner closely with intercompany partners and market Business Controllers, as well as Corporate Consolidations, CooperVision International Limited and EMEA finance teams, to ensure the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of the financial reporting. Further interactions will include working with the SSC Transactions Services teams, Regional Tax & Treasury, and our audit colleagues. 

As CooperVision continues the OneVision journey to transition all group companies to Oracle, this role will play a key part in developing our intercompany trading processes, particularly the integration of AGIS module. Establishing a network of strong working relationships with counterparties will be key to facilitate an aligned and efficient intercompany billing and recharge cycle.

As part of this role, there will be line management responsibilities and will have 1 direct report.

What skills and experience should you have?

We’re looking for a qualified (ACCA/ACA) finance professional who has operated within a similar role and possibly could be looking for their next step into management. 

You’ll ideally have working experience or strong knowledge of intercompany reporting, good understanding of SOX and US GAAP, preferably worked with ERP systems such as Oracle/SAP and operated within a large, multinational company or Shared Service environment. 

You’ll be able to operate in a dynamic and changing environment, manage multiple deadlines, display a high level of professionalism and organisational skills, maintain confidentiality as necessary and have strong verbal and written communication skills.

High attention detail, good analytical and problem skills are key for this role.
