Year 3 SEMH Teacher

 

Are you a qualified Primary teacher looking to work in a special school with SEMH students? Long Term Teachers is seeking a passionate and confident teacher to join the school from September in leading a year 3 class for at least terms 1 & 2.

 

The school are situated on the outskirts of Bath and are incredibly proud of the important work they do there. The school looks after a range of special needs & disabilities but are focused around SEMH & ASD. This position would be a full-time teaching post, so would involve planning & marking ideally.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Versatility to teach across a range of different special needs
  • Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Positive attitude and passion for teaching

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons following school curriculum
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a conducive learning environment
  • Management and development of classroom TA's
  • Follow school safeguarding practices to the letter
  • Provide feedback and assessment as required
