Job summary

In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the mobility and independence of individuals who rely on wheelchairs for their daily activities.

Main duties of the job

As a Wheelchair Technician, your main duties will include assessing and repairing wheelchairs to meet individual client needs, performing regular maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on both manual and powered wheelchairs, and diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with wheelchair components and systems. You will also be responsible for setting up new wheelchairs according to manufacturer specifications and installing additional features as required by clinical team. Providing training and support to clients on the use and care of their wheelchairs is a key part of the role. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of services provided and monitor and manage the inventory of parts and supplies.

Qualifications

Good standards of education including GSCE English and Maths or equivalent qualification. Educated to NVQ L3, or equivalent experience Full UK Clean driving Licence

Knowledge of Bradford Prior knowledge of different types of mobility equipment Ability to drive safely
