ROLE SUMMARY

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AV Technician to join one our large clients based in London. The AV Technician is expected to arrive in good time for the start of the scheduled meeting setup time and remain until the required service is functioning correctly undertaking the responsibilities below.


The core responsibilities for AV Technicians roles are as follows:

  • Ensure Operational availability of all dedicated Event Spaces
  • Ensure Operational availability of all AV enabled meeting rooms and any other AV or VC (Video Conference) environments
  • Conduct regular proactive room and equipment checks according to the schedule specified in the SOP
  • L1, L2 & L3 incident management. In the case of multiple simultaneous fixes or fail incidents, priority will always be given to Event Spaces and / or VIP Meetings.
  • Ensure “as build” documentation is managed effectively over its lifecycle
  • Contribute regular feedback and information to the client and to ensure workable technology standards are adopted at a local level
  • Set up and operate client supplied infrastructure, equipment and applications in dedicated live event spaces and meeting rooms to deliver live events
  • Ensure operational availability of allocated event spaces and meeting rooms carrying out all regular and pre-event equipment checks
  • Ensure configuration management data is maintained using UK Parliament preferred tool sets
  • Attend post event debriefs for each event
  • Proactive maintenance / reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always functioning correctly
  • Service continuity support including preparation for a restoration of service from Power Downs and other planned or unplanned Business Continuity Management activities
  • Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems. Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify
  • Ensuring all multi-media / presentation rooms are maintained in good working order
  • Presentation/multi-media meeting room support, including duration support
  • Arranging equipment loans and hire to meet client specifications.
  • End user training on new technology
