The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be integral to the development and production of our clean tech solutions, driving innovation and ensuring top-tier quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer:
- Product Support: Ensure production efficiency, quality, safety, and consistency. Conduct spot checks, evaluate warranty returns, and address non-conformances.
- Process Improvement: Implement Lean manufacturing principles and best practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Design and source machinery, tooling, and fixtures.
- Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules, coordinating with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize inventory and resource utilization.
- Equipment Management: Oversee maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely.
- Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures, investigate production issues, and resolve them with corrective actions.
- Technical Support: Develop work instructions and SOPs, provide training and technical support to production staff, and advise on best practices.
- New Product Introduction: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to transition new products from development to production, document processes, and implement line layouts.
- Health and Safety: Promote safety by adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement hazard mitigation measures.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Life Cycle Assessment: Evaluate the environmental performance and sustainability of products and supply chain, ensuring compliance with standards.
Qualifications of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in production engineering, with a focus on both design and production.
- Proficiency in CAD software and production management tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
