Based at St Albans Campus

We are recruiting for a full time animal management lecturer to join our team. We are looking for someone to inspire the next generation of animal lovers, to pursue their dreams of working with animals.

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to teach animal welfare courses across the curriculum and delivering content to meet the local needs of the industries. Applicants must have a broad range of knowledge and industry experience with a range of animals.

You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply for this role, the college offers a structured induction programme for those new to teaching, you will be paired with an experienced mentor, gradually increasing as your experience and skills strengthen. The college will support the completion of a recognised teaching qualification alongside your role.

You will join a fantastic team who are committed to creating an inspiring curriculum for our new cohort of students and will take an active role in the curriculum design and lesson planning, ensuring students are ready for their next steps from enrolment to results day.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

At least 2 years in an animal related industryHigh standards of communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work as a teamThe ability to work towards deadlines The ability to motivate both students and your peers.
