We are currently recruiting a Kitchen Porter to join our team in Tranent, due to the location of our client you will need access to a vehicle.

This is a Monday – Friday Position with no late evenings.

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwash and surrounding areas within the site.
• Carrying out all washing up duties for a busy kitchen and restaurant
• Cleaning and sterilizing counter tops, walls and sinks
• Ensuring the dining room tables are cleared and cleaned daily
• Assisting with basic food preparation if required
• Cleaning the dining areas
• Assisting with daily and weekly deep cleans
• Assisting with deliveries and organizing them in the correct storage areas
• Removing waste from waste containers and disposing of them in the correct external bins
• Providing assistance to front of house and kitchen staff as required

Experience:

• Previous experience in a catering outlet is desirable but not essential as on the job training will be provided
• Customer focused and a good communicator
• Excellent team player
