Role Overview:

As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that stimulate students' interest in the subject. You will play a key role in developing students’ understanding of geographical concepts, promoting critical thinking, and encouraging a passion for the environment and global issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages [appropriate Key Stages].
  • Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Encourage students to take an active interest in the subject through field trips, projects, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
