You will have professional support for your CPD from Therapy Team and Clinical Leader and support from Senior Occupational Therapists from other specialities as required. The services also support student training and apprenticeships enabling you to contribute to the future of the profession.

Main duties of the job

Assesses and treats own caseload of patients / clients in a speciality and maintains associated records. To have a responsibility for Training & Development of occupational therapy staff, students and other staff groups in this speciality. Supervise less experienced occupational therapists, assistants, apprentices and students. Participates as a member of the therapy team and the MDT within a specified clinical area. Has a responsibility re-own CPD and other developmental activities. Involvement in identifying and carrying out departmental audit, research or service development activity. Participates in providing 7-day services and extended working day, as required by the service. (Some of our services work on extended hours rotas working between 8 am and 8pm.)

Graduate Diploma or BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised by HCPC (or student Occupational Therapist with qualification pending) HCPC registration Appropriate experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist Previous care experience Core Rotations as a Band 5 Therapists in a range of core areas: Orthopaedics, Medical or Frailty Inpatients, Neurological Rehabilitation
