Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver comprehensive science lessons that are stimulating and engaging for students
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic progress and personal development
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to effective learning
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest educational practices and trends
  • Communicate and collaborate with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field
  • Teaching certification or qualification
  • Proven experience teaching science at the primary or secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and experience in curriculum planning
  • Passion for education and a dedication to student success
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and foster a positive learning environment
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to teaching, with a willingness to engage in continuous professional development
