The Network Security Manager works as part of a team responsible for all security aspects of the VMO2s communication networks. The role includes identifying security risks across VMO2's mobile, Fixed, and Broadband products and services, recommending suitable security controls to address concerns and communicating the key issues to appropriate stakeholders. Other areas of responsibility include working with standards and regulations such as TSA, ISO27001, and GDPR and supporting liaising with relevant external bodies such as OFCOM, DCMS and NCSC as required. The must haves In order to be considered, you must have the following experience: Broad understanding of Public Telecoms networks infrastructures. Strong understanding of Network security/network architecture design principles. Strong background in technical or information security principles. Experience in various aspects of Security technology, infrastructure, design and implementation. Excellent stakeholder management communication and interpersonal skills.
The other stuff we are looking for We'd also love you to bring; Ability to be flexible and responsive to constantly changing environment and maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies. Security experience on Cloud or virtualised technology, ideally from a telecom’s perspective. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical business staff, of all levels including board level, in a language they understand. Preferred relevant degree such as bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Technical, Information Security, Computer Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
