Your New Role

Reporting into the Head of Record to Report (Financial & Management accounting), our Finance Shared Service Centre have an exciting opportunity to bring on board a Financial Controller on a full time, permanent based at our Dunmurry office.

You are responsible for building a strong accounting team who deliver accounting functions for group entities. You will ensure a strong financial control framework is maintained and drive financial process improvement. This role focuses on providing reporting and financial analysis to support managers and to proactively improve the business.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

·Provide assurance to Survitec business and Finance management that the accounting records are accurate

·Prepare monthly management accounts pack including commentary and analysis for key business stakeholders

·Assist with the organisation and co-ordination of the month end process including monthly Board reports and review of the monthly balance sheet reconciliation and validation process

·Lead, coach and develop an engaged and motivated finance team 

·Ensure compliance with local market financial laws, requirements, regulations and tax issues

·Deliver improvement projects and programmes implemented as part of the global finance transformation programme, and the business restructuring programme 

·Ensure all payroll required documents are timely and accurately prepared for the third-party provider and effectively resolve any issues

·Influence the leadership team to grow the business by formulating appropriate financial strategies and plans.

·Liaise with colleagues to understand root causes of financial results, investigate budget variances, and formulate recovery plans

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria

·Educated to University (degree) level and a qualified accountant (ICA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

·Finance management experience, operating to fully competent level

· Experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within short- to mid-term timescales

·Excellent planning and organisational skills
