A bit about the role

Residential Support workers play a crucial role in establishing a secure and nurturing setting for the growth and development of the children and young people in our care. We are specifically seeking a Residential Support Worker with leadership experience or seniority in a similar capacity. Your focus will be prioritising our children's well-being through person centred care, guidance and advocacy to ensure their safety, health and fulfilment of their potential.

About the service 

Monksfield Adlin House is a warm, welcoming residential care service for disabled children with moderate to severe learning disabilities. Our purpose-built bungalow offers five bedrooms, two bathrooms, and communal living and play areas. With a large, enclosed garden with a variety of play equipment, we provide a supportive environment for our children. In addition to residential care, we offer short breaks in our unit called Acorn, providing a "home away from home" supported environment. We collaborate with families and professionals to meet the complex needs of the children in our care, offering tailored support packages for a fun, inclusive stay that empowers children and young people to live the life they desire.

 How you'll help to create brighter futures 

Help us maintain the high standards of care and personal development our young people have come to expect.Getting involved in lots of fun activities both within the project and out in the community.Assisting with personal care and daily routines of the young people.Supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes and safeguarding them.Helping coach young people to develop essential life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and money matters.

Let's talk about you as a Residential Support Worker

Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do' attitude to join our team.

Experience of leading Shifts in a Care setting.Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent).Experience and training in safeguarding.An innovative and creative approach to problem solving.Experience of developing tailored care plans.The ability to create a safe and fun environment for both staff and children in the home and in the community.
