Delivery Driver – Glass Double Glazed Units | Mitcham (covering South London, and the South East including Surrey, Sussex and Kent) |  Monday-Friday ONLY, 7:00am – 4:00pm; workload depending | £11 - £13 per hour (dependent on experience)

Our client is a rapidly expanding and successful organisation with over 30 years of expertise in manufacturing high-quality double-glazed units. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional customer service tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

You will provide a professional and seamless delivery service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality double-glazed units. This role requires a customer-focused approach to meet current and future business needs.

Are you the right person for the job?

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s commercial van driving experience in a similar role (not food deliveries)
  • Experience driving Sprinter / Iveco-type vans or similar
  • Full UK driving licence or equivalent, maximum 3 points
  • Comfortable working with glass
  • First-class customer-facing and communication skills
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with people at all levels
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Good attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to navigate using sat nav tools
  • Physically fit to lift and load heavy objects
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professionally presented with a friendly, customer-oriented attitude
  • Due to insurance reasons, you must be aged 25 or over to drive the vans

What will your role look like?

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Representing the company with professionalism and ensuring smooth, timely deliveries
  • Planning and following efficient delivery routes
  • Delivering high-quality double-glazed units to both residential and commercial premises
  • Communicating with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns
  • Loading and unloading double-glazed units safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy van
  • Providing excellent customer service with a friendly and professional demeanour
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Assisting in the factory when necessary

  • No Shift Work: The general hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, although the hours may vary slightly depending on the workload, with the possibility of working fewer or slightly more hours as needed
