Year 2 TeacherResponsibilities

  • Planprepare and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year2 students.
  • Implementappropriate teaching strategies to engage and inspirestudents.
  • Assess andmonitor student progress providing regular feedback and settingtargets forimprovement.
  • Collaboratewith colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share bestpractices.
  • Maintain a safeand inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectfulbehaviour and positiverelationships.
  • Communicateeffectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on studentprogress and address anyconcerns.
  • Participate instaff meetings professional development workshops and other schoolactivities asrequired.

Year 2TeacherRequirements

  • Bachelorsdegree in Education or a relatedfield.
  • Qualified TeacherStatus (QTS) orequivalent.
  • Provenexperience teaching Year 2 students in a primary schoolsetting.
  • Excellentknowledge of the National Curriculum and assessmentmethods.
  • Strongcommunication and interpersonalskills.
  • Ability todifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of individuallearners.
  • Dedication toongoing professional development and a commitment to stayinguptodate with the latest educationalpractices.
  • Flexibility andadaptability to work effectively in a collaborative teamenvironment.
