Training, development, and support for you:

You’ll contribute to different projects throughout the programme and here are some examples of work our recent Maths graduates have completed:
• Using and developing a Fuel Group computer model (ENIGMA) to support Fission Gas Pressure calculation benchmarking with SCIP IV project.
• Analysis of severe accident modelling data for Hinkley Point C.
• Interacting with EDF R&D with respect to Hinkley Point C safety case consideration of extreme low temperature.
• Use of Finite Element Analysis techniques to predict Graphite weight loss in the AGR reactor cores.
• Developing the arrangements for operating Hinkley Point C when complete.
Our Science and Engineering Programme also includes protected training time for courses covering nuclear fundamentals, EPR (European Pressurised Reactor) systems, communications and health & safety.
Our scheme is accredited with a number of professional institutions, and we’ll support you to gain chartership with the relevant professional body:

Please note this programme is rotational in its nature, so you will be required to move around. But don’t worry - we’ve got you covered with practical and financial support every step of the way.
Who you are:
To join our team you’ll need a 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in Engineering, Science or a related subject.
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in nuclear energy, the power generation industry and technology with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, whilst being keen to solve technical problems.
Additionally, you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
Our Virtual Assessment Centre will take place on 19th, 20th and 21st November.
