The Opportunity:
Abbeyfield provides supported housing for individuals looking to maintain their independence without the burden of home maintenance.
Linc Cymru is offering the opportunity to join our team as a Deputy House Manager at Abergele House, working 21 hours per week.
We are looking for someone to support our tenants and provide them with 2 delicious and nutritious meals each day. This role offers excellent work life balance, with 3 shifts a week with a mixture of weekday and weekend working (negotiable, to be discussed at interview).
This a rewarding role, supporting vulnerable people in the community. This is a varied position; no 2 days will be the same. The tenants love to get to know the people who work within their home, so we are looking for someone who enjoys a chat and getting to know new people.
What we need from you:
Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents Create a welcoming and safe living environment for residents Manage all services within the house Plan and provide nutritious meals catering to dietary needs Deliver daily meals within budget Ensure resident welfare, safety, and security Maintain building security Connect the house with the local community Supervise house staff and volunteers Manage day-to-day house operationsRequired Skills:
Enjoy cooking and have experience preparing meals for others Good at talking to people of all ages and backgrounds Friendly, caring, and calm with a passion for creating a happy homely environment Confident to talk to families, agencies, contractors, and health professionals with ease Basic IT knowledge Basic health and safety understandingWhat we will offer in return:
