Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Financial Analyst to
join our team. You will be instrumental in our Financial processes and analysis
supporting the business. This is based at our Head Office in Quorum
Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne.



Candidates should understand the importance of providing timely and
accurate financial information as a basis for insightful analysis and
operational data. Having a core understanding of financial accounting with an
analytical mindset.  Playing a key role
in our month end process, alongside annual budget and audit cycles.



 



Responsibilities & Duties

  • Own actual and
    forecasting of key financial categories supported by Senior Finance Managers
  • Monthly
    management accounts preparation and balance sheet reconciliations, including
    forecast data input
  • Weekly and
    Monthly KPI support
  • Reconciliations
    of key accounts including cash receipts to revenue recorded in transactional
    system (EPOS)
  • Problem solving
    where variances arise
  • Support
    colleagues at site and support hub with queries
  • Develop reports
    for the organisation to drive value through data backed decision making
  • Plan versus
    actual variance analysis
  • Data preparation,
    consolidation and analysis support


 



Required Skills

  • AAT qualified or sufficient working experience
    of accounting
  • Highly proficient Excel user
  • Balance sheet and cash reconciliation experience
  • Self starter and effective time management
  • Problem solver
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
    skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people of all levels
  • Ability to adapt and prioritise to changing
    business needs
  • Previous experience with Sage200
