GSL Education are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant for an outstanding Primary School in Salford  committed to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for all students. Position Overview:

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) to join the Schools Current staffing team . The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting KS1/KS2 students with SEND , working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure all students have equal access to a high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives
  • Collaborate with subject teachers to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the individual needs of students with SEND, ensuring accessibility
  • Support students in developing academic skills, as well as social and emotional skills, to promote their overall well-being and independence
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the monitoring and assessment of student progress
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their educational journey

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEND, preferably within a high school or educational setting, is desirable but not essential
  • A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or Teaching Assistance is advantageous
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEND
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people with SEND

 

To work with GSL Education as a Learning Support Assistant, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
