Protocol Education is seeking to recruit SEND Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, and Learning Support Assistants for full-time, permanent positions in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.

Job Duties:

We are looking for candidates who bring a friendly and positive approach to their work and can quickly build strong relationships with individual children. The ability to collaborate effectively with a team of professionals is also essential for this role. Successful candidates should be confident in using de-escalation strategies and possess the resilience to manage challenging behaviours. Empathy and understanding are crucial, as many of the individuals you will be working with may have severe or complex special needs. In addition to classroom responsibilities, the role may involve supporting immersion and sensory rooms, assisting with outdoor activities, and teaching life skills and vocational training.

Required Qualifications:

Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs and disabilities

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Experience in a similar role is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
