Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week
We are looking for a dynamic, committed and self-motivated pharmacist to to lead the Clinical Pharmacy Haematology Service alongside a multidisciplinary team of Clinicians and Specialist Nurses.
The successful applicant will provide an advanced Clinical Pharmacy role in the provision and development of Pharmaceutical services to Haematology patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
Deliver a specialised Pharmacy Service to Haemato-Oncology patients in the in-patient and out patient setting.Lead on the introduction of new Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy protocols and treatments into the trust including identifying risks associated with new high risk medicines and determining risk mitigation strategies.Provide financial oversight of the Haematology drug spend.Carry out duties of an 'Authorised Pharmacist' within our aseptic services unit to release aseptically prepared injectable medicines.Undertake horizon scanning to identify emerging trends within Haemato-Oncology and determine the impact to the Pharmacy Service.The applicant must be well motivated and be able to work in a high degree of independence, directing their own work as necessary.
