Job Description

Nursery Manager

Hours per week: 40

Salary: £35,000

We are in search of a dedicated Nursery Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of their nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing environment for children, along with the ability to lead a team of childcare professionals. The nursery provides a warm and homely ambiance, complete with extensive outdoor spaces tailored to different age ranges.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within an early years or childcare setting
  • Relevant qualifications in early years, minimum Level 3
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding practices
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals and promote equality and inclusion in the nursery environment

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the nursery's programs and activities in adherence to the early years foundation stage (EYFS)
  • Provide effective leadership and support to nursery staff, promoting open communication and fostering a positive work environment
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of childcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, with a focus on health and safety practices
  • Cultivate positive relationships with parents and guardians, creating an inclusive and welcoming community
  • Efficiently manage the nursery budget, resources, and operational logistics
  • Assess and enhance the quality of childcare provision through monitoring and evaluation processes
