About the opportunity

:

We’re looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our existing team in our Wakefield Distribution Centre.

You will control and direct an efficient distribution operation which meets the needs of our customers by providing a reliable service, using all available resources to minimize cost and maximize profit within legal and regulatory guidelines. As well as deputising in the absence of the Depot Manager if and when required within the transport and distribution related duties.

To succeed in this role Delivery Driver supervisory experience is essential.

Salary

£32, per annum 

Working Pattern

hours per week, working Tuesday to Friday from 11am till 7:15pm, and Saturdays from 5:30am till 2pm

Training and Support

You will receive a comprehensive induction from the Learning and Development Facilitators.

Essential Skills/Experience

Minimum 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English Full UK Driving Licence Proven driving experience An understanding of laws and regulations relating to Health & Safety Leadership qualities Excellent communication skills Well organised

Desirable:

IOSH Qualification First Aid Qualification Fire Marshall Knowledge of working with targets/KPIs An understanding of GDP regulation
