Job summary

Are you an experienced Recovery Nurse looking to pick up extra shifts during the weekend?

Medicare are currently looking for Recovery Nurses to work weekend shifts for our clients across London. We offer Flexible Contracts that allow our candidates to choose their preferred working days, hours and locality which allows them to work around their schedule. You would be working as a part of team of Medicare clinicians completing day surgery procedures. Multiple positions available

Main duties of the job

Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision. Ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised patient care evidence based. Assist and advice staff, both registered and unregistered in the delivery of patient care. Maintain accurate clinical observations of the patient and act accordingly. Undertake nursing procedures. Have responsibility for the correct administration and custody of medicines according to Trust policy. Monitor patients progress, work towards safe and timely discharge plans and ensure barriers to discharge are identified and acted on appropriately. Act as the patients advocate

Must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience of working in the NHS. Significant experience in recovery practice (at Band 5 or above level)
