About the role

Our Risk Pricing team is expanding, and we’re dividing the team into two distinct groups: one focused on personal lines and the other on commercial lines. Consequently, we’re now seeking a new Risk Pricing Manager to lead the commercial lines team, encompassing a range of products, from package and farming to large corporate insurance.


As Risk Pricing Manager, you’ll play a crucial part in developing and implementing innovative risk pricing methods that directly influence the company’s competitive edge in the commercial insurance market. Your responsibilities will extend beyond technical leadership to encompass mentorship and strategic guidance, empowering your team to realise their full potential.


Within the role, you’ll work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including Street Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Reserving, Finance, Capital Modelling, and Propositions. This collaborative approach ensure you can leverage diverse expertise and perspectives, fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace.

About you

With a solid foundation in judgement, you’ll bring the ability to navigate complex scenarios and make informed decisions that drive organisational objectives forward. Coupled with your people management and leadership skills, you’ll have effectively guided teams to success, fostering an inclusive culture of collaboration and innovation.


Additionally, you’ll possess:



A strong technical background in General Insurance pricing, with experience in setting and maintaining the technical price for commercial insurance products.
Experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders at all levels, building strong partnerships and ensuring alignment
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to a diverse range of audiences, adapting approach to resonate effectively and drive meaningful engagement.
Strong influencing skills with the ability and confidence to challenge conventional thinking and persuasively articulate arguments.
