This post offers a great opportunity for experienced health care support workers and dietitians awaiting HCPC registration to gain a variety of experience in community services in both rural and urban areas.

You will support the provision of a dietetic service to Care Homes and community patients in the geographic areas of Inverness, Badenoch and Strathspey, and Mid Ross.

You will see both inpatient and outpatients who have a range of conditions such as dementia, cancer, GI issues, neurological conditions. Patients will be seen in a variety of settings: community hospital; day case; outpatient clinics; care homes; domiciliary visits. You will be supervised by a community dietitian and supported to do full nutritional assessments, care planning, monitoring and implementation.

You will have access to supervision and support from a range of highly experienced senior staff across NHS Highland.

You will need good communication skills, patience and empathy - and a full clean driving licence.
