Aircraft Refuelling Technician

Location: East Midlands Airport, UK

Key Competencies:
• Must hold a DVLA issued driving licence for the vehicles at location.
• 2 years current LGV driving experience desirable.
• Fuels tanker experience desirable.
• Refuelling experience is highly desirable.
• It is desirable to live within 45 minutes drive of the airport.
• Will be required to pass security clearance satisfactory to the Airport including a Criminal Record Check.
• Must have a flexible approach to working patterns including overtime working.
• Must have basic numeracy and data input skills.

The jobholder is expected to work with site management in all of the following areas:
• Operating to the highest standards of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) compliance;
proactively assessing, identifying and reporting HSSE related matters or incidents; and fully participating
and utilising the Company’s safety systems and tools (e.g. Share Its).
• Compling with and maintaining the integrity of all Company safety and operational standards.
• Following the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for all operational activities.
• Responsibility for the safe handling, storage and movement of Aviation Product including into-plane
refuelling; all in accordance with Company quality control and operating standards.
• Correct recording of all stock movement and sales.
• Operating correct emergency procedures in the event of incidents.
• Acting as the first point of contact with customers and maintaining the highest standard of customer service
levels.
• Participating in training and maintaining competentency in all procedures associated with the handling of
Aviation Product and into-plane refuelling operation.
• Working knowledge of, and implementing as necessary, Company Safety and Emergency Procedures.
• Scheduling work to ensure refuellings are completed on time.
• Assisting with the planning of vehicles and/or manpower.
• Inputting all necessary data into the I6 computer system to control all sales transactions and product
movement including end of day reconciliation.
• Maintaining all necessary records on refuelling / product quality activity.
• Completing annual training in 360 and SMITHS.
• Undertaking special responsibilities, when trained.
