About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalised education plans tailored to the unique needs of each student. You will work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and other professionals to ensure each student achieves their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:

  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, parents, and other professionals.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
  • Manage and support students with diverse learning and behavioural needs.

Requirements for the SEN Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children or young people in a SEN school setting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage and support students with challenging behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a dedication to supporting student development.
  • A current enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.
