Education: Masters (Ph.D.preferred)

Certifications &Licenses:

  • Ph.D. inEpidemiology Health Sciences or a related discipline with 2 yearsof experience or
  • MPH in Epidemiology with 7years of experience

Skills:

  1. Qualitative and quantitative data analyses includinglongitudinal studies and mixed methods research
  2. Leadership in epidemiologic research
  3. Knowledge of the epidemiology of tobacco use and currentfield advancements
  4. Proficiency in dataanalysis software (SAS SPSS Stata R Mplus)
  5. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Summary:

The contractor will support the operational objectives ofthe National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) by providingepidemiologic research and analytic expertise for the PopulationAssessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and proceduresfor scientific programs.
  • Design and analyzesurveys protocols informed consent documents and SOPs.
  • Coordinate study implementation and datacollection.
  • Manage projects from inception tocompletion ensuring timely progress reports.
  • Provide research management and support for majorprojects including protocol development and datacollection.
  • Perform quantitative andqualitative assessments.
  • Develop researchplans and contribute to various aspects of the PATHStudy.
  • Collect analyze and create scientificinformation for diverse audiences.
  • Organizeand participate in workshops and scientific meetings.
  • Provide scientific evaluation and identify gaps inexisting research.
  • Assist in literaturesearches and new project planning.
  • Provideregular reports to leadership on project status.
  • Develop and monitor scientific planning and evaluationprocesses.
  • Make recommendations for newresearch initiatives and strategies
