Assistant Librarian - Bibliographic Services (Internal Only - 18.5 hours per week)

Do you want to use your attention to detail and accuracy skills to support the student experience within Library Services?

We are seeking a graduate with either a professional qualification in library/information services or equivalent experience in a relevant role to work in this part-time (18.5 hrs), permanent post at the University of Brighton. 

Based at the Moulsecoomb campus you will work to support the Acquisitions & Metadata Librarian as part of a small team with the responsibility for ordering, cataloguing and classifying resources. The role works to manage metadata to enable better resource discovery for our students. 

To succeed, you will need:

A working knowledge of cataloguing standards and classification schemes Excellent IT skills, including MS Word and Excel The ability to plan, prioritise and organise your workload An understanding of electronic information sources and library management systems
