Metal worker

Our client is a busy Manufacturing company based in Redditch and they are looking for an experienced metal worker.

Job Title: Metal worker

Location: Redditch

Shift: Day: 07:45 to 16:45 Mon to Thurs 07:45 TO 12:45 Fri

Pay Rate: £12.50 Ph

Duration: straight permanent position

Day to Day Duties

* Prime responsibility is to produce all the materials needed for the welding/fabrications department, working to manufacturing lists and drawings.
* Set and operate saw, press brakes machines and lasers (full training will be given training) used in the preparation section
* Ensure all jobs are fully kitted ready to handover to the next department.
* Daily machine total preventative maintenance checks
* Communication across all departments to ensure products hit the required lead time and each team are kept in the loop with any delays.

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience

* Experience working in metal work.
* Experience working on saws, Lasers or press brakes of any type.
* Experience working with Engineering drawings.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexible approach to working hours.
* Eager to learn.
