About Us:
Our schools in Epping are dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for students in English language and literature. As an English Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and abilities, helping them develop their reading, writing, and communication skills.
The Role:
As an English Tutor, you will work closely with students to identify their strengths and areas for development in English language and literacy. Whether it's providing one-to-one support, leading small group sessions, or delivering tailored interventions, you will play a key role in helping students build confidence and achieve academic success in English.
We seek to appoint an English Tutor who will work with students to promote their attainment in English. These students might be struggling or may just need extra support to reach their full potential. The tutor will work with small groups or on a one to one basis. You will prepare, teach and evaluate lessons across all secondary ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personalized support to students to help them improve their reading, writing, and communication skills
- Developing and implementing tailored learning plans and resources to meet the individual needs of students
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey
- Using a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding of English language and literature
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure coordinated support for students
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification or experience in English language and literature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and motivate them to succeed
- A patient and supportive approach to teaching and learning, with the ability to adapt to students' individual learning styles
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection, with a willingness to undergo necessary background checks
- Experience working as a tutor or teacher would be advantageous
