We are recruiting for a reception-based security officer for an office space in Peterborough, PE7.

What the role will include:

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting hourly patrols of clients premises.
  • Monitoring entry points and patrolling the site perimeter.
  • Managing access control, including checking IDs and credentials.
  • Ensuring the safety and order of the premises and reporting any disturbances or suspicious behaviour.
  • Providing customer service and assistance to visitors.
  • Directing people around the site as needed.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Successful candidates must have an SIA licence in Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection.
  • Excellent customer service skills, you should be confident with speaking to members of the public and comfortable with helping patrons and making them feel safe and secure.
  • A smart appearance with good personal presentation
  • The ability to take charge, make decisions and handle difficult situations with maturity.
  • Comfortable with working long hours.
  • Checkable work history for the previous five years in accordance with BS7858.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Able to work effectively in teams and develop strong team loyalty.
  • Good observational skills and ability to take initiative to act individually or collaboratively as needed.
  • Ideally, you will have at least three years’ experience in a security role, however this is not essential as training will be provided for the right candidates.
