Defence PrimaryHealth Care (DPHC) Central and Wessex region are looking for a dynamic, organised,and efficient Band 5 Practice Nurse who will be working withinour Primary Health Care team at Halton Medical Centre.
This position offers hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
As the successfulcandidate, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary primary healthcareteam, leading the delivery of primary healthcare nursing including elements ofoccupational health.
Due to the natureof the business, it would be beneficial if you have prior experience of primarycare. Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for moreinformation.
We are searchingfor someone who is able to work unsupervised,providing high-quality nursing care to the medical facility population at riskholding an individual case load, and through consultation identify, assess, andmanage the care of patients with complex health needs, minor injuries, minor illnesses,and specific diseases within their level of competence.
Manyof our practices are networked and linked to provide support to each other. Onoccasion within your planned working schedule, you may be requested to work atthe linked practice site. In these situations, travel time and cost will beallowed for.
Training andPreceptorship will be provided to develop your skills and knowledge to workeffectively in our teams.

Providing specialist high-quality person-centred primarycare which always considers peoples safety, privacy and dignity usinghigh quality clinical knowledge that is evidence based, with use of corehealthcare guidelines. Being responsible for the delivery of appropriate treatment, screening,and advice to patients within their professional competence and in accordancewith (DPHC) clinical guidelines and protocols Providing safe, evidence-based, efficient, and individualised patientcare Undertaking preventative health programmes such as travel andvaccination clinics, new patients screening, audiometry. Undertaking technical nursing treatments and procedures for patientscomplex/specialist healthcare needs (, wound care, sutures removal,Electrocardiograms (ECGs), Cytology, Audiometry, Ear Care) Providing specialist advice and support to patients, their families andother healthcare professionals following assessment, diagnosis and throughtreatmentPlease see theattached Job Description and Person Specification for additional job duties andresponsibilities.

The Interview willconsist of a Mix of direct questions and Clinical Situation based Scenarios.
