GSL Education’s client school in Chesterfield is seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Support staff member to join their team and play a key role in enhancing the physical development of students.

Job Summary: As PE Support, you will assist the PE teacher in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons, supporting students in both group activities and one-on-one settings. You will encourage participation, helping to develop students' confidence and interest in sports and physical activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to the PE teacher in delivering engaging and varied lessons to students.
  • Work closely with students during PE classes, ensuring they are fully engaged in physical activities.
  • Support the physical, emotional, and social development of students through sports and exercise.
  • Help create a fun and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and individual achievement.
  • Encourage and support students during extracurricular sporting activities and events.
  • Assist in organising and preparing equipment for PE lessons and sporting events.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the PE teacher and relevant staff members.
Requirements:
  • A passion for physical education and a commitment to promoting active lifestyles in students.
  • Experience working with children, ideally in a PE or sports setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to help students achieve their full potential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
