About the role:

We are looking for a Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our Care, Childcare and Counselling department at Bedford Campus. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels. Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential. Managing students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience. Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching. Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

About you:

Certificate in Education ( or willing to work towards) Heath and Social Care related qualification at Level 3 and above or equivalent in related subject area English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Vocational experience in Health and Social care Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing

Bedford College has a number of sites across the town and surrounding areas, these include our main Cauldwell Street campus in the heart of the town, our hair and beauty salon on the High Street, the advanced automotive centre on Brunel Road and the gas and technology plumbing centre in Kempston.

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
