We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Residential and Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor to join and build our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse caseload encompassing both residential and commercial property transactions. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in handling a wide range of matters across both sectors. This will be done with a strong emphasis on client service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Caseload Management:

  • Handled a caseload comprising approximately 60% residential and 40% commercial property transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and regulatory requirements for conveyancing transactions from the time of inception to completion.
  • Independently manage files, meeting and exceeding personal targets for efficiency and quality of service.

2. Commercial conveyancing:

  • Oversee commercial leases, property license agreements, sales, and purchases of commercial properties.
  • Work closely with property developers, private investors, and corporate clients on commercial property transactions.
  • Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to clients on complex commercial property matters.

3. Residential conveyancing:

  • Manage a residential property portfolio, specializing in upcoming builds and shared ownership schemes.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of property laws and regulations, ensuring compliance at all stages of the conveyancing process.
  • Deliver high-quality legal solutions to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.

4. Business Development:

  • Utilize networking skills to develop and maintain strong client relationships, driving business growth opportunities.
  • Actively participate in business development activities, contributing to the firm's overall success.

5. Team Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Provide supervision, support, and coaching to paralegals, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, mortgage lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Qualiified Solicitor with at least 8 years PQE, with experience in both residential and commercial conveyancing.
  • Accredited under the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS).
  • Proven track record in business development and networking.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK property laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in conveyancing systems and technology.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and professional integrity.
