Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Learning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative Art lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, following the national curriculum.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Regularly assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic and academic growth.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creative expression, while managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and review of the Art curriculum, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of all students and fosters a love of the visual arts.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related field. A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.) is essential.
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting is preferred. Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of the Art curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment: A passion for art and creativity, and a commitment to fostering a positive and imaginative learning environment for all students.
