Your responsibilities

As the Engineering manager, you will be responsible for creating a robust engineering department that aligns to the business strategy. Taking ownership and responsibility for all products and parts.

Compliance and Conformity - To ensure process and product compliance are in place and embedded.

Standardisation – To define and realign standards and standardisation of all products and parts.

Order Fulfilment - To create an efficient order fulfilment process ensuring standards are utilised and project milestones and sold hours are met.

Customer Focus - To design and engineer solutions and functionality for the market and exceed customer expectations.

Costs - To ensure lean design and manufacturing cost is considered in all aspects of design. Optimising department resource

Quality -To control revisions, obsolescence and superseding of all drawing ensuring systems are in place to ensure all departments have clarity of current status at all times.

Continual Improvement - Manage NCRs, ECRs and CAPAs and embed CI into the department.
Knowledge Centre - To establish engineering as the central hub and knowledge centre of all products and engineered parts. Collaboration and communication between interdependent teams.

Your qualifications

Person Spec

BEng or equiv. Mechanical Engineer

Bulk Mechanical Handling experience.
Experience of managing and embedding processes for machinery compliance (ATEX, EMC, LVD,CE)

Organised - Able to multitask. Manage and deliver multiple improvement projects.

Finisher Completer.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and written with the ability to listen, engage and persuade, and to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information

Creative, practical problem solver.

Record of achievement. - Proven track record of success in similar role.
