We are looking for a friendly, proactive, and organised Receptionist to join our expanding team
As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Youll handle a range of front-of-house duties, including managing queries, greeting visitors, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and staff.
In addition to your patient-facing responsibilities, youll support our back-office admin by managing our generic email inbox, processing referrals, and coordinating follow-up appointments. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will be vital in maintaining efficient office operations and delivering exceptional service.

Main duties of the job
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, offering a warm and professional welcome. Your main duties will include managing patient enquiries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating follow-up visits.
In addition to front-of-house duties, you will assist with administrative tasks such as processing referrals, updating patient information, and managing our generic email inbox. You will work closely with both clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient patient care. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential in this role.

Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Receptionist. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
Man the front desk and provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors in the practice
Complete patient tasks by arranging follow-up appointments and sorting referrals
Signpost patients to the correct service
Manage the generic practice email and sort queries appropriately
Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
