OBJECTIVE

Unipharare seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and strong PayrollSpecialist to join the Payroll Department. The Payroll Specialistrole will be critical to executing our company-wide employee growthinitiatives as we strive towards our goal of becoming a Centre ofExcellence for several of our Uniphar businesses. The PayrollSpecialist will be responsible for the preparation of monthly andweekly payroll across our ROI and UK locations. This role reportsto the Payroll Manager.

This is a hybrid role,working remotely and group wide officelocations.

MAIN DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Endto end processing of monthly and weekly payroll across assigned UKand Irish Entities.

  • Ensuringthat all Revenue Real Time Payroll Reporting requirements forassigned payroll groups are met by the duedeadlines.

  • Work withoperations teams to ensure that the Time and Attendance system isaccurate and that established cut offs and deadlines are adheredto.

  • Payroll general ledgerreporting and reconciliation of payroll balance sheet items to becompleted on a payroll periodbasis.

  • Work closing withfinance departments & group tax on all payroll relatedreporting for management and statutorypurposes.

  • Liaising withlocal HR in relation to employee information for new hires, exitsand amendments processed through local HRISsystems.

  • Liaise with thirdparties as necessary such as HMRC, the County Courts and externalpension providers.

  • Liaisewith local finance and HR functions to maintain BIK compliance inline with company policy and country specific revenueguidance.

  • To support thePayroll Manager with implementing change within the payroll processand assist with moving the payroll to a high-level excellenceservice provider and to raise the payroll profile within thebusiness.

  • To assist andprovide cross training within the wider payroll function asdirected by the PayrollManager.

  • To support thePayroll Manager and the wider HR community with ongoing projectwork that is connected to the payrollfunction.

  • Provide superiorcustomer service and assist the payroll team in responding andresolving employee queries with efficiency and professionalism inline with established departmentalSLA's.

  • Compliance withGeneral Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and responsibility forensuring that appropriate confidentiality is continuouslymaintained.

  • Adhere tocompany, department, and team standards of professionalism andprotocol. Assure that behaviour complies with the Uniphar credo andsupports a positive workenvironment

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE& SKILLSREQUIRED
  • CIPPqualification

  • UK and ROIPayroll experience isrequired

  • Megapay experienceis a distinctadvantage.

  • Experience withWorkday HRIS system isdesirable

  • Minimum of 5years' experience in a fast-paced, high volume, multi-jurisdictionpayroll environment

  • Abilityto work underpressure

  • Strongcommunication skills
