About the role

Are you a foster carer? Do you have a passion for exemplary customer services and willingness to learn? This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new West London fostering recruitment team

The London Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, Brent, Hillingdon, Harrow, Hounslow and Ealing have launched a new fostering recruitment service. Our vision is to have more children we care for living in West London with high quality, supported foster carers, delivering improved long-term outcomes for children. We want to ensure that West London attracts suitable Foster Carers who can provide the highest standard of care to children in care in West London, with the Hub working to increase and enhance placement choice locally.

The newly established West London regional fostering recruitment hub will lead on the recruitment of foster carers on behalf of the eight Local Authorities.

A focus for this role is sharing your experience as a foster carer with the prospective foster carers. Through sharing your experiences and insights you will become a supportive and encouraging person, both whilst they are thinking about applying and throughout the application process.

The Enquiry Officer will work as part of an efficient and responsive team, responsible for all aspects of the recruitment for foster carers. You will lead on enquiries from the public providing excellent customer service, engaging by telephone, face to face and digitally with prospective fostering households, responding to queries, providing information, insight and support throughout the process.

A provisional date for interviews will be week commencing 1 July, however subject to availability interviews will be scheduled as applications are received, and we reserve the right to close applications ahead of the closing date if a suitable, appointable candidate is identified. Therefore, we encourage you to apply promptly.
