We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a 4-year-old boy with Down Syndrome in Reception class at one of our wonderfulPrimary Schools in Swadlincote, Derby. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in a child’s educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a child with Down Syndrome in a Reception class setting.
  • Assisting with personal care, including nappy changing and toileting, as the child is not toilet trained.
  • Helping the child engage in classroom activities, develop social skills, and foster inclusion.
  • Providing hands-on physical support (moving and handling training is ideal but not essential).
