Job overview

Are you interested in continuing to develop and extend your skills in working with adults with a range of communication and swallowing disorders in various settings? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and flexible therapist who is fully dysphagia trained and experienced in managing their caseload. There are opportunities to work in the acute setting at Ysbyty Gwynedd and in the community, working in nursing homes, clinics and community hospitals.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job

This post offers the opportunity to work in both acute and community settings, with the flexibility to develop with the successful applicant’s interests and skills. Our supportive and friendly team offers a wide range of expertise and experience. You will join a growing team of speech and language therapists and technical instructors and be supported by highly specialist band S&LTs.

We have regular team meetings. Clinical supervision is actively encouraged and there are regular CPD events and training opportunities as you continue to develop and hone your clinical skills. There is access to regular therapist-led and MDT clinics including Videofluoroscopy. There will be opportunities to participate in service improvements and MDT initiatives are encouraged.

We welcome informal visits to meet our team.
