EQUANS are recruiting for an Apprentice Plasterer to be based in Belfast. This is a fixed term, full time position onsite with the required days at College. You will be taught all the necessary skills, so experience is not required. On completion of the role, you will achieve a Level 3 qualification, and the potential to progress further within the organisation. Equans pay the statutory minimum wage for apprentices.

General Overview:

You will work alongside a site project team, working on our NIHE Contract. The successful candidate will complete an intermediate Apprenticeship working towards the standard of the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3. The Apprentice will be site based and may be required to travel by their own means within the Belfast area. As a responsible employer, Equans expect all staff to implement and adhere to the companys Safety, Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements.

What you will deliver

To assist and carry out project defined joinery work to a high standard as directed by the Site Manager. This role does involve lifting, bending, kneeling and use of tools and machinery To achieve all units laid down by the National Vocational Qualification to achieve a standard in joinery acceptable to the company To work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures This role does involve lifting, bending, kneeling and use of tools and machinery Material co-ordination Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation Adhere to Company quality standards to include: Compliance with specification / Compliance with materials and workmanship To attend all relevant training courses including all SHEQ courses arranged by the employer including Toolbox Talks Making repairs Maintain and care for all company tools Wear appropriate clothing and PPE specific to tasks Ensure all areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the working day Any other reasonable management request To achieve all units laid down by the National Vocational Qualifications to achieve a standard in joinery acceptable to the company To work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures
