A highly reputable secondary school in Reading is seeking a dedicated and innovative Art Teacher to join their permanent staff from September 2024. This esteemed institution specializes in providing exceptional education for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is renowned for its supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students.
- Develop and implement creative curricula that inspire and motivate students.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance student learning and wellbeing.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s Art program and participate in school-wide initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A relevant degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Art, preferably within an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN needs and how to address them through differentiated teaching methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Creative and dynamic approach to teaching with a passion for fostering artistic talents in students.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to the school’s mission and values.
