At EF Brighton we are looking for someone enthusiastic and organised for a customer-facing position, liaising with our students and homestay families. The role is 5-6 days a week, fixed term (May to August), weekly paid.Holiday entitlement 20 days per annum pro rata (including bank and public holidays).

Your Role

As Homestay Coordinator you are responsible for the accommodation arrangements for our language students from all over the world, namely ensuring there are adequate homestay beds for our students and assigning such beds to them. You will be working with the school management team to shape and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications and competencies

Fluent spoken and written English skills Highly motivated, energetic, positive Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences Proactive and creative approach to problem solving and conflict resolutions Strong organizational and communication skills Exceptional organization skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Friendly and approachable manner, not afraid to speak to strangers in person or on the phone and build a quick rapport Able to remain calm under pressure and to diffuse potentially difficult situations

Responsibilities

Daily booking confirmation and accommodation allocation. Meeting the departmental KPIs set by management Ensuring Host Family quality goes above and beyond EF standards Maintaining the Arrival/departure list and confirming students’ arrival times with host families Counsels and supports students dealing with culture shock and liaises between students and host families Handling student enquiries relating to accommodation allocations, welfare, health & safety Liaising with EF offices worldwide regarding issues & enquiries relating to accommodation Ensuring the compliance with EF policy and accreditation requirements Working as part of the wider school team to ensure overall student satisfaction Sharing emergency on call duties with other school staff Promoting student safeguarding and reporting any welfare concerns to the welfare department.
