WHAT TO EXPECT

Join us as a Battery Systems Requirements Lead Engineer and be at the forefront of the electrification revolution in the automotive industry. This role places you at the heart of our efforts to tackle one of the biggest challenges of our time. Our team is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the traction battery, a vital and complex system that enables the battery cells to operate at peak efficiency by managing their environment.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with battery system technical specialists to take a comprehensive systems approach to battery design, development, and verification. Working closely with the Energy and Cell chapters, you will balance the mechanical, thermal, electrical, and electrochemical domains to overcome design challenges and address launch issues.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include accurately processing and decomposing incoming requirements and legislative changes through the battery levels, representing the energy storage system in forward model quality reviews, and advocating for the integrated battery system. You'll work with cross-functional teams of engineers and experts to implement and validate energy storage solutions. Additionally, you will mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Systems engineering experience on a complex system ideally in Batteries. Experience in key system engineering tools (for example, SSCD, CATIA Magic, DOORS) Experience in Product Engineering Processes/systems. EV system architecture knowledge. Experience in high voltage systems.
