Hours: Full time

Salary: £83 - £120 per day

GSL are working with a school in Gateshead. We are looking  to appoint Learning Support Assistant at the mainstream Primary school to start in September.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
  • Carry out administrative duties, such as preparing the classroom and clearing away after class to ensure effective teaching can take place.
  • The ability to challenge children when they display negative behaviour and become reluctant learners.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities
  • Available to work Monday to Friday Term time only

 

Requirements

  • You will use your initiative, be well organised and pro-active.
  • A strong regard for pupil safety and wellbeing.
  • Be a qualified level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or have other relevant experience ( care, family member support, Youth work etc )
  • Experience in Early Years
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service OR the willingness to complete an immediate application
  • RTW in the UK and a fully checkable work history
